Is that a Schwinn Stingray?!! You lucky birthday girl. I always wanted one. It was THE bike of my childhood dreams. My brother's friend had a dark blue one. It rode so smoothly. We use to spend hours riding in circles around the neighborhood to see who could put the most miles on their speedometer.

Happy birthday - fabulous ending to the year - knitting two socks at once with the perfect yarn - I really think you should wear them that way - one sock of each color! Thanks for being such an inspiration to a relatively new knitter!!
