I miss the miters too. You've even inspired me to break out the squares again. I had 48 and convinced myself that it was enough. I was wrong. I twas not enough. So now there are 50 and counting... I think I'll take my photos of them tomorrow.

I just wanted to thank you for infecting me. I have made serious and heartfelt commitments to myself not to start any new projects for a while but after watching you and all the crazy, happy, giddy fun you are having with the miters, it is becoming clear to me that I am going to have to knit myself a blanket.

Magenta and spring green are gorgeous together! I have taken over my dining room table with my miters. It's like a big puzzle that needs to be manipulated. Every time I walk by, I move something around!

I have told my husband so many times that the yarn has to 'speak' to me. (my husband says I have to listen harder) so your yarn was just speaking to you. Fear not. It's not the bad voices....

Here's a mitter questions: You had 95 or so colors total right? Does that mean you had 95 skeins of yarn total or did you have more than one skein of each color? Inquiring minds what to know.

Mmmm, I love the macro shots! Another blanket? Go for it! I keep thinking that I should use up some of my stash on a nice log cabin blanket, but I have about a hundred other things I want to work on, too, so it'll have to wait.

Okay. I'll admit it. I miss the miters. You're color combos give ideas for my color combos. And then I change them up. And then it gets all obsesseive.

If you must knit miters that don't match your blanket... How about a mitery pillow for your couch?

Aren't you going to need some mitered pillows to go on your mitered spread?

Now, a similarly obsessed person can go back to the last "blanket" photo and try to locate those close-ups there, or better yet, check each and every one of the posted mitt(er)s, but who is so obsessed?!?

I just want you to know that I spent my lunch break at the yarn store spreading out skeins of Cotton Classic and choosing colors for my first miters. Sigh. I bought sixteen skeins. You are a wonderful bad influence. You know what i'm trying to say, don't you?

Wow, I think I like miter macro pictures even more than I like the complete miter pictures! There's something neat about not seeing the whole miter. Plus, the macros are more arty, and I love arty photos.

Wow. I just found your blog after reading MDK and I'm in love with your miters/mitres! I just keep looking at all of your photos of squares and your trial layout, and I think I might be drooling. I've had my nose in Mason-Dixon Knitting for the past several weeks and I've just started my own mitered square blanket I've put one square together, and am 1.5 miters into my second. I'm loving this. It's all I want to do and my daily responsibilities are really infringing on my knitting time! On my blog, which I've just recently started, I've only put up a pic of my very first miter http://knelleyknits.blogspot.com/2007/04/betty-please.html so I'll have to put up more of my progress. (Sorry, I don't know how to do that link thing when you just have to click on a word. I'll learn.) Your photos and your enthusiasm have inspired me to keep my needles working.

Awesome colors! You could make some mini-mitre pincushions or pillows or something. But if another blanket is calling your name, well there you go :)

My Father in Law was just diagnosed with lung and brain cancer. It's terminal, they are just working on prolonging his life right now.

My blanket may be a lap blanket......I want to make sure he gets it!
