One of those OTHER kinds of Days
Yesterday, Georgie and I had one of those life changing kind of days. And then we headed to the beach. (Ba dum dum!)
We're more Fall season beach goers - often times hitting the Jersey Shore way into October when only the die hards are there. G actually goes in the water too! He's NUTS! Yesterday's beach scene was straight out of Jaws. The water was so packed with kids it looked like a community pool instead of the Atlantic Ocean.
We had a nice day, but I didn't get much done, knitting, crochet or otherwise.
My knitting has definitely hit a state of flux. Unfortunately, the Bee Shawl and I have hit an impasse. I'm not sure where I went wrong with it - probably a case of don't knit lace when you should be asleep - and anything that brings me to tears gets put away for a while. So don't look for it here.
I finished the last square of Section V on Babette and stalled out. I've even stalled out on the second mini monkey I've put off far too long. I knit a row and then put it down. Maybe it's the Summer finally catching up with me.
This morning I feel awful and I still have a ton of work to catch up on so that's what I'll be doing today. There is one bright spot in all this - look what's come home!

Thank you so much Tina! I can't tell you how surprised and happy I was to pull it out of the box! And shocked! There may have been tears, but don't kid yourself - it doesn't take much these days. I LOVE YOU! THANK YOU!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Tina knows just when and what you need. Take care, take breaks and go with the flow. A renewed energy will be right around the corner.

Oh, how I am in love with that blanket.

It's home! do you think when life and projects seem to pile up the normal flow of things gets clogged? Then when the imaginary Draino plows through everything starts flowing again? Maybe just a mental stop and do nothing for a while feeling that needs to pass and the Mojo returns.. You must make stop thinking, it's not very good for me right now...

I'm feeling the same about my knits at the moment. I think it's the heat. I don't want to do much of anything at this point;)
Have a great weekend!

Sounds like you need a few days rest curled up under the green blanket (possibly with Georgie?).
Here's hoping the you get your mojo back and that you don't have anymore of the yucky kind of days. . . .

Sorry to hear you're not feeling on top right now. The others are right, you need a good snuggle with that wonderful blanket.
On a completely unrelated note, I keep meaning to mention but keep forgetting that I just love your banner. You have the most beautiful photos there.

Hope all is well - that green blanket looks like a nice soothing colour, take things easy this weekend!

I'd cry, too. I love that blanket.

Hooray, blanket! Hope your weekend is awesome and you feel better soon.

You KNOW how I love that blanket. It was all I could do at sock camp not to steal it. Sappy, I know but when I got to hold it I put some extra love in it for you. Hope you can feel the love. Going to the beach is always theraputic. ANd the water too. I have been known to swim in Lake Washington in October.

Ah, the most beautiful log cabin ever made, and I'm not even kidding. Glad to see that it is home!
As for having that kind of day...sometimes when it's going that way for me, I just totally stew in it! Like, sit on the couch and veg out, stay in my pajamas all day, and just be vile for a few hours. And then I get so disgusted with myself that I have a shower and put on clean pajamas, and that turns it all around. Anyway, hope the mood lifts soon for ya.

Hope that you are feeling right as rain really soon.
What a great package. How very sweet.

Wait a second, I thought the blanket was coming here....
Just Kidding but you can't blame a gal for trying. :)

Oh, green blanket! I'm making progress on my Denim Log Cabin, inspired originally by that beauty!

Cara, know that your green blanket was well loved when on the road. I saw it at the Blacksheep Gathering and was so amazed to see it for real, I just stood there gaping at it (and I might have bought a little yarn too). I knew it had to be The Blanket and I must confess, I petted it a little bit. I'm sure it had great adventures on the road and it's glad to be home again.

totally thinking of you and G these dog days ...

I never thought I'd knit a blanket but maybe just maybe I should.

The green blanket looks beautiful, as will your other projects when they come off "lay-away". Sometimes the heat and humidity of summer sucks the life out of you. Remember it is a reminder to do mindless things just to refuel. Have a great day.

Definitely, no lace knitting when sleepy (or agitated)!! Been there, frogged that.
Thanks for the image of green blanket. I'm piecing my bluish one (can't post photos, because it's a gift.) VERY INSPIRING. Please accept my gratitude for the kick in the kneedles!

Lurker here.... just wanted to thank you for letting the Green Blanket out of your hands. It was so nice for it to go on tour. I was lucky enough to get to see it at Black Sheep Gathering... ok I petted too, VERY NICE! Just think of all the hugs that blanket got, and now they are all there with you to help pull you out of this mojoless season.. enjoy a day on the couch with it.
