Well, I was right. You were exactly 4 weeks behind me in this whole pregnancy thing. Alex thinks that Meli is quite fetching, and says "Welcome to the world! It's going to blow your mind!"
Oooh, what cute little girl patterns will you knit first? There are so many (not so much for boys.) Bonnets, and booties, and beautiful dresses..., need I go on? And with her coloring, she is going to look spectacular in red! (And all of those bright primary colors. Perfect for the daughter of an artist.)
I bet G's heart melted the second he saw her. She will so have him wrapped around her tiny little finger. :)
Enjoy this time, Cara. It will go soooo quickly.

BEAUTIFUL!!! Takes me ritht back to the day my daughter was born almost 6 years ago now. That perfect velvety skin that you kiss for the very first time!! It's so awesome in so many ways. I worked hard for my daughter too and the joy you feel on the day of their birth can hardly be put into words.
